Suggestions for Station Work by students...

Doing homework from a station assignment:

SS7 Reading - do 7 terms first because they are easier before doing the 3 concepts

Spelling - do the easy parts first. Use a dictionary right away if you are not sure about a word's meaning instead of trying to guess. Study for test - underline the words that you do not know the definitions of, and study those in a more in depth manner. Likewise, circle the words that you need to practice spelling - write them a few times.

Map - tried to draw parts of the map in order to get better details by filling an entire piece of paper with one continent. Draw Antarctica first, since it spans the width of the map. Draw the basic shape of the continent in very light pencil, then add the details. Also, fold the paper into fourths and use the equator and prime meridian as guides. Draw the outer edges of each continent that are closest to the edges of the paper first.

Poetry - practice in front of a full size mirror.
